JCK Industry Fund

The JCK Industry Fund, now in its twenty-first year, was established in 1997 to enhance the image of the jewelry industry and to foster development and research of programs that would benefit the industry. To date, this fund has awarded over $6 million in grants to those organizations or individuals who have created programs that improve the jewelry industry’s image.

Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF)

The JCK Industry Fund's support has made it possible for the Diamond Empowerment Fund to reach over 1 million millennials to-date with the consumer confidence-building message that Diamonds Do Good. Their continued support of this message dissemination will enable us to grow our momentum and help foster positive narratives around diamonds and the diamond industry with consumers.NANCY OREM LYMAN, VICE PRESIDENT & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DIAMOND EMPOWERMENT FUND

Jewelers Security Alliance (JSA)

Since the beginning of the JCK Industry Fund, Jewelers’ Security Alliance has received amazingly generous support for innovative projects to help keep the industry safe from crime. This year’s award focusing on improved security for jewelry stores in malls allows JSA to focus on a crucial security effort that otherwise JSA would not have the resources to pursue. Combatting violent crime against jewelry stores in malls requires close cooperation on security between the major mall operators and the jewelry industry, including improved practices, equipment and training. This JCK grant will allow JSA to help promote those improvements. The past JSA projects that the JCK Industry Fund has supported have, without exaggeration, helped save lives and prevented crimes.JOHN KENNEDY, PRESIDENT, JSA

Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC)

“Continued support from the JCK Industry Fund powers some of the JVCs most important projects, and we are so grateful for this partnership. In particular, the JCK Industry Fund grant will enable the JVC to advance consumer-facing projects. One example is our ability to purchase a modern precious metal testing machine, the use of which will be made available to our members to ensure that the jewelry they are selling meets both their standards and the legal standards in the United Sates. In another project, JVC will focus on our mediation program, which moderates disputes between consumers and jewelers to keep cases out of court and ensure that the reputation of the jewelry industry remains high in the mind of the consumer. As I step into lead the next chapter of this great organization, the support of the JCK Industry Fund bolsters my confidence and enthusiasm about the future of our industry and of the JVC.TIFFANY STEVENS, PRESIDENT/ CEO, JVC

MSJA Education Foundation

The MJSA Education Foundation thanks the JCK Industry Fund for its generosity in helping us to ensure the competitiveness of U.S. jewelry manufacturing and design, as well as to strengthen the connections between jewelers and consumers. Since it launched in 2015, our BEaJEWELER outreach program has strived to bring “new blood” into the current workforce; we’ve helped schools to promote their jewelry-related programs through online marketing, social media, and live events, and these efforts have generated thousands of referrals. This grant will enable us to expand our efforts by connecting students with professional career opportunities. We’ll also be able to solidify the market for quality jewelry by creating outlets through which consumers can find artisanal work made at the bench, or find bench jewelers able to perform need repairs.DAVID W. COCHRAN, PRESIDENT/CEO, MJSA
