(LAS VEGAS June 1) - - - Hundreds of leading retailers gathered for the first day of LUXURY to be a part of the refreshed, elegant buying experience at a new venue, Mandalay Bay Resort & Convention Center.
"We are excited to see two years of planning fall into place and I am so impressed with the elegance of the event," said John Tierney, Event Director, LUXURY. LUXURY retailers started the day with breakfast and a show by hypnotist, Tom DeLuca. DeLuca, renowned as the ultimate "corporate hypnotist", selected retailers to participate and then displayed how the power of suggestion can help to open the imagination through various activities onstage. Retailers and exhibitors wrapped the day with the popular "Dine-Out" program-allowing LUXURY exhibitors and retailers to dine together at one of the top 10 fine dining options at Mandalay Bay.
"I am so thrilled with the re-invention of LUXURY and the all-new Elite Enclave," said Aida Alvarez of Birks & Mayors. "The attention to detail in every aspect of the event is amazing and has helped to make LUXURY an easier, and more enjoyable, experience all-around. Also, for the first time in a couple years I have seen much more variety of jewelry and much color."

Elite Enclave at LUXURY made its debut today-offering up a unique exhibition environment that features brands and designers in a boutique setting infused with a carefully curated selection of art, music, and design. Elite Enclave featured brands are: Autore, Beaudry International, Fendi Timepieces/Taramax U.S.A., Inc., JudeFrances Jewelry, MIIORI by Michael Beaudry, Monseo Jewels, Stenzhorn, and Temple St. Clair.
